RadarScope: The Weather App Soap Opera 🌩️
Some users can't get enough of this app. It's been hailed as the best pro weather app ever! 🏆 With praise for its ability to detect single rain clouds and help track tornadoes (not that anyone's asking for a close encounter with one). There's even love from those who've paid a yearly subscription, considering it money well spent—like investing in an umbrella during hurricane season! 🌪️☂️
However, not all is sunny... Some folks feel betrayed 😠 by sudden changes in features they originally got for free. They claim it's like trying to dodge lightning bolts of fraud. One user felt so scammed they're ready to take legal action. Better call Saul Goodman! ⚖️
Then there's the epic saga of tech troubles! From download errors due to offline radars (because obviously Chicago radar decided on a vacation until May ⛱️) to issues with up-to-date phones where RadarScope no longer works—it seems like tech gremlins are running amok!
And let's talk about updates... or lack thereof! During severe storms when Mother Nature throws a tantrum 🌩️👹, some found their radars hopelessly outdated—leaving them more frustrated than someone caught without an umbrella in a downpour.
But fear not; many still find joy tracking tornados despite these hiccups—as if storm-chasing was part of their weekend plans anyway.
Subscriptions have caused uproar too: losing access after updates or spending extra cash while avoiding double payments feels like navigating through financial quicksand 💰🌀. And don’t forget about people missing Wear OS features because apparently finding location settings is now Indiana Jones level challenging 🗺️🤷♂️.
Yet amidst chaos lies trust—a beacon shining through dark clouds—to meteorologist friends who endorse it wholeheartedly ✨👏.
So there you have it folks—the grand drama swirling around Radarscope; whether you're cheering from rooftops or shaking fists at thunderclouds above… keep your umbrellas handy just in case ☔🎭
"It's great 👍"
"This has been a good and reliable app until now. Its features and pricing have been rolled out without explanation, and over the years, the free features I purchased are not free anymore. That's corrupt and fraud. You can't change what you offered and what I agreed to pay for what I was getting. IT'S A CONTRACT! After the last update, the display isn't as clear to show thunderstorms. It's like granularity was significantly reduced. I'm considering legal action against this company for fraud."
"Best pro weather app.!"
"I like the app, but I've read about download errors. Then I started getting the download error everytime. It turns out that the Chicago radar that is closest to me is offline until late May. Not the app developers fault. Still like the app. I see there is a version for Windows. For another $30???? Not paying for it twice. Not supporting "climate change" drivel."
"This app used to be the best. So I paid for it. Moved multiple phones no issues... Now that I have an up to date phone with the latest Android version on it... Radarscope no longer opens."
"I've had a small problem lately, the radar is 10 minutes behind, so it doesn't work!! Is there a need for an update?"
"I've used Radarscope for years!"
"It's worth it even if you have to pay..."
"I usually love the app but am having a weird issue tonight. I'm having a severe weather day, with tornadoes and such, and my app hasn't updated in almost two hours. It says "1h 49m old" in the bottom right, and I desperately need an update. I can't even find a way to force a refresh. It definitely let me down today."
"Good app but... I've had the since beta.. subscription Tier 1 since it's inspection... but since I had to update it from it being put in deep sleep mode I've lost my subscription... and can't restore purchases..."
"This app is terrible. It doesn't show a weather radar as in the images, like what you would expect when watching a weather channel. It forces you to pay to download it - no free trial. I used it for more than 48 hours, trying to match it with weather predictions and understand how it works, so I cannot get a refund. I followed the Google refund page, and there's no place to contact the dev where it should be. There are free apps that are better. Don't waste your money."
"most awesome radar app available, well worth the ~$10 USA yearly subscription cost"
"Best weather radar app period!"
"I have been using this app for 10 years and still love it. I paid $10 back in the day and it was well worth it then. I try to track tornados as rare as they are around me and other leveled data. I wish I didn't have to get the subscription for the lightning tracking, but it has been a fairly great app over the years."
"So far, really great. The radar has picked up single rain clouds which is pretty impressive. Zooming in to street level is nice. I've only had a couple instances in the recent past where the radar hadn't updated in like an hour. But it's pretty consistent, and having up-to-the-minute radar is super helpful if you're walking, biking, or unsheltered in any way."
"There are no options for a tile or find my location in Wear OS."
"Navigation is a little confusing and clunky, but it has everything you could possibly want and more"
"Just downloaded this because of my Meteorologist friends that I trust. I hope I don't have issues with it. But I deeply trust her so I will get back to you with a review."
"I've used many over the years, radarscope is the go to and what many consider the old reliable app everyone ends up back on. Newest update only improves an already great app."
"I Have Been Using This for about 10 to 12 Years NOW.... Please Continue to Help Keep Us All Safe Always with the Help of the National Weather Services & Storm Prediction Center.....May God Bless Us All & Keep Us All Safe Always the the USA STRONG"
