Reviews Summary

Fitbit App Reviews: A Comedy of Errors 😂

The Good Old Days 📅

Long-time users are sentimentally reminiscing about the old features. One dude's motivation tanked completely when the new update ditched daily trend viewing in favor of monthly averages for weight and Resting Heart Rate (RHR). Who needs detailed trends, right? 😒

Wallet Woes 💳

A Versa user can't find the Wallet Tile. Tried everything including uninstalling and reinstalling. No change! It’s like losing your actual wallet and realizing you left it at home! Classic.

Half-Screen Horror 😱

Since the recent update, half of the screen is M.I.A. How are we supposed to track weight and food intake now? 🤷‍♀️ It’s like trying to count calories based on what you wish you ate.

Locked Out Nightmare 🔒

A Versa 2 became a not-so-smart watch, locked without any unlocking option on the app. Customer care isn’t helping much either. Might as well use it as a paperweight now! 📦

Warranty Drama 🎭

One fed-up user discovered that their device stopped working exactly a week after the warranty expired. Coincidence? They think not. Support told them to buy a new device...no thanks! 😡

Weight 💪

Many users are furious about the revamped weight section. The once handy weight tracking is now a hot mess on separate tabs; some can't compare weekly averages anymore.

Kid Conflict 👦

A 9-year-old’s parent is baffled by notifications buzzing on the kid’s Fitbit whenever a personal email or message pings. Let the kid be, Fitbit! 😑

Stoned No More 💡

The app ditched weight measurement in stones with the latest update. Hormonal changes are hard to track, and syncing with calorie apps is also on the fritz. 🤦‍♀️

Sleep Patterns: Major Letdown 🛌

Folks bought this for detailed sleep insights, only to realize it massively underdelivers. Apparently, detailed doesn't mean accurate. 💤

Weight Tracking UI: Meh 👎

The new weight tracking UI feels like a cruel joke. You get one data point per year! Do we look like we’re immortal? Bring back the old trend line, please!

Login Problems 🚫

A few users haven't been able to log in for months. Maybe the app is ghosting them. BOO. 👻

Syncing Shenanigans 🔄

Recent updates turned syncing into a Herculean task. Some can’t even read the time without their devices starting a tantrum. Ugh, battery drain!

Pixel Problems 📱

Hey, Pixel users! The app's food section is throwing a fit. Can't see custom food entries and top entries are invisible. Google’s master plan for Fitbit didn't pan out well.

Continuous Downgrade ↓

The app is seemingly on a downhill slide. Bugs, disappearing features, and non-responsive customer service. Once great, now borderline unusable.

Food Logging Fiasco 🍔

Logging food has gone from hero to zero. Top choices are missing, and frequent foods are not behaving. Apparently, it’s a Pixel 9 and Android 15 thing. Super fun.

Still Useful For Some 🌟

Amidst the chaos, someone’s still managing to track health stats effectively and actually recommends the app. There’s always that one optimist...

GPS Drama 📍

Oh, and if you’re editing a workout because of poor GPS, the app reverts to the original values immediately. Like it’s gaslighting your actual workout. Yay.

Conclusion 🎭

In short: Fitbit, fix your stuff. ⚙️

There it is, the Fitbit App Saga. Proceed with caution. 🏃‍♂️💨

"I've been a loyal user for nearly 10 years, but the recent changes to the weight and RHR metrics are terrible. I used to be able to see back day by day for the full duration of history and the longer term charts would show daily trends instead of a monthly average. Looking at these detailed trends was very motivating and helpful. I also used to look at weekly averages in the weight list view which was very useful. I see the RHR trends made same changes."

"Apps working well except Wallet. Hi Fitbit, I'm using Fitbit VERSA , There's no WALLET Tiles on my apps for my VERSA Model. I tried uninstall and reinstall it but nothing changed. The Wallet tile still doesn't appear. Please help."

"Great until the last update now half the screen is missing at the top to the point I can't track my weight and can't add the foods I have eaten . It's pretty pointless at the moment"

"My versa 2 was locked and it says "unlock from phone" but there is no option in the app. I emailed this to customer care last October (2023). They replied with same standard text, I shared all the screenshot from the app and there was no option to unlock. Since last year I have to rely on app and use versa as normal watch. It was less then with new update app was not showing data prior to October 2024. Last two days are worst, it even stopped syncing with app. With cost experience is worst."

"Device stopped working exactly 1 week out of warranty. I did a factory reset & installed an update. Now the screen is unresponsive & won't sync to the app. This feels deliberate. Reached out to the customer care & they helpfully told me to buy a new device. No replacement, repair or discount offered. I guess they expect the device to only work for a year. I will never buy or recommend fitbit again."

"Since the last update the weight section is awful. Used to be easy to see at a glance average weight to compare each week. Now it is on separate tabs and is messy"

"Got the fitbit for my 9yr old boy (who doesn't have a phone) because he wanted a good product so had to load the app on my phone. Unfortunately can't find any way of turning off notifications on the watch when I get a personal email or message."

"new update means you can't measure in stones anymore, plus previous weights have all changed, making it difficult to view as it's all been averaged out, not great when trying to understand the impact of monthly women's hormonal changes. plus the watch will not sync with apps calories. just all a bit broken"

"The new weight tracking UI has become borderline useless. 1. It does not prefill the weight entered last time. 2. The number of data points in the yearly overview is greatly reduced to a monthly average even. Please revert and use the available screen real estate to show at least a weekly average. How it was before was exactly how i like it. "All time" is just a joke. One data point per year?? 3. Where did the trend line go??"

"Fine until update 4,28 and later created a sync /reboot problem with my charge 5 and Android when watch display turned on, whenever I wanted to read the time! Not the first time. Will be the last"

"Fitbit not doesn't show top row in food tracker. No custom food entry and top entry no longer visible. Pixel 8a. Weird that since Google bought Fitbit theyve some made the app unstable. Oh, wait...makes sense Google promoting pixel watch and slowly letting Fitbit dissolve. Sucks had Fitbit for years. Will be looking for new watch/app."

"this app gets worse by the day. existing features are regularly downloaded or removed intentionally, in addition to bugs that break remaining functionality and go unaddressed. this app used to be great and now is basically unusable"

"I have no idea where to ask for support or get a bug report going because fitbit's customer service is confusing so I'll post here. The app is extremely hard to log food now because my top choices in search, frequent foods, and favorites are all cut off at the top. The tabs saying frequent and favorites cut off the actual foods I need to log. Please fix this! Pixel 9 android 15. This started happening 2 weeks ago."
