"I honestly didn't get the point of this app. Considering current features of iDrive photos, imho it makes a lot more sense using the iDrive mobile app and centralise cloud drive and backup there. If it is reassessed to provide a better photo-oriented experience, then it could make sense to have a specific app for this."

"It continuously tries to auto upload. Restarting doesn't fix it. Force stop, restart, anduninstall then reinstall doesn't work. I'm on S24 Ultra."

"the app offers no control over what it uploads. in my case it started auto uploading gigabytes of divx movies. idrive also doesn't have any useful organization features, grouping photos for example. the developer doesn't seem to have any plans to make it better. edit: devs added control over which folders auto upload. 3 stars now. pls add album folders for 5 stars."

"I could not find an option to exclude specific folders/albums to prevent it from uploading. In terms of pricing, this is by far the best app to backup photos, but I definitely don't want to mess my personal photos/videos with all the whatsapp 'BS' I receive. That's a real pity, it would be extremely simple to develop such feature. Ironically, most reviews here say about the same thing, but apparently customers are simply ignored."

"I am facing constant issues with new uploads. I have cleared the cache multiple times with no success. Been a long time subscriber since 2021 and funnily I paid my yearly subscription fees 2 weeks ago and then this problem started."

"it's affordable and works for the most part. It glitches and stops uploading in the background until you physically open the app again. I've complained about this going on 3 years now. Edit, in every technical support phone call, more than 10. Not one Tech said this. If this is the case.... Your Tech support personal need way better training. "Edit: They made a bug fix 1 day after signaling the issue, very good team of devs. Original: I paid a yearly subscription but on my new phone it's saying that my device is unsupported. (Pixel 8 Pro) I can't access or backup my photos anymore. Need a fix ASAP. thx"

"Auto upload does not work on WiFi or cell, data from 2 weeks ago still not uploaded even tho it knows it has to upload it. Never does. App needs work it's way behind other cloud services and not reliable."
