I have never played this with a mouse on PC as it was originally designed, but find the mobile controls intuitive and straightforward enough, however I wonder if the touch screen is even more challenging than this is for the mouse, making a hard game a little harder. "I want to help the people who are complaining about control problems. For what I've seen, most people that the swipe affects the hammer oddly. Specifically because of input acceleration, this affects how the hammer will speed up the faster you swipe. Try setting the input acc. to "No". This will make hammer movements more consistent to how you are swiping. Adjust the sensitivity from there."
