This app brings back the good ol' days and gives life meaning once again. It's like hopping in a time machine back to being 14! ๐
The controls are superb, and it works like a charm even on older Android phones. No lag or crashes. Although, climbing ladders and rescuing Rinoa in space could be a bit tricky.
People wish they could play FF7 and FF9 too. Some folks are upset because the game won't start on the Pixel 7 Pro. And, hey, where's the controller and cross-save support?
It's been an epic journey, running better than Steam and touching every nostalgia nerve. Took forever, but finally beat the final Weapon at Ultimecia's castle nearly 25 years later. ๐
Some bugs persist that even the developers seem tired of squashing, yet it works adequately overall. Saving to the cloud adds a nice touch, if it works as advertised.
Some miss the ability to mute so they can jam to their own tunes or listen to podcasts. That's a bummer for the audibly curious.
Gamers would appreciate a quick save function for card fights (e.g., Triple Triad), so they don't have to dash back and forth to save points just to avoid losing cards. And oh, chrono cross developers, take notes!
In a nutshell, it's a massive nostalgia trip giving many players their much-needed dopamine hit. With a few tweaks and fixes, itโs on its way to pixel perfection! ๐๐ฒ

"Takes me back to being 14 yo! ๐ Completed FF8 without much trouble in this format. Took a few goes sometimes to get the party to eg. Climb ladders... and had difficulty with some of the forced tasks you need to do to advance through the game with the adapted controls (the worst of these was trying to rescue Rinoa in space!!) Now, I'm a bit disappointed my version of Android doesn't support VII or IX, as these were next on my list. Any plans to update them SE?"

"This game played better for me on my old Android than on Steam 3 yrs ago during Covid. Game ran really smooth. The only issues I had was during the Garden battle when you had to punch that guy off the cable (touch) and with Google giving me credit for all my achievements. 25 yrs ago I started playing this game, earned almost every serious achievement imaginable except I never beat the final Weapon at Ultimecia's castle. Proud to say, 25 years later, I've finally beat that "Cant". Elated!"

"Arguably the oddest FF game in the whole series. Yes the Junction System is HORRIBLE but everything else is just SPECTACULAR. Including the soundtrack which just might be the greatest video game soundtrack ever. Glitch-free mobile experience. 9/10."

"So it's unfortunate that they don't fix the bugs they are aware of. I suppose they are unable to or it is not worth their time. Regardless, the game functions adequately. I am playing it on Beam Pro w/ XREAL Air 2 Pro w/ Gulikit KK2. I could emulate the original or even obtain the apk for this, but that would be a hassle. This downloaded and installed in one minute. It claims that saves are uploaded to the cloud. If this feature functions properly, it adds value and justifies the cost."
