"I wanted to like this - as the card building strategy genre is generally one I enjoy - but ultimately refunded due to time limit. Game feels bloated with keywords and tooltips don't always provide all the relevant info. Both the runs I played ended in ways that felt unfair, rather than due to decisions. My first I was attacked 5x before my first turn, dying from 70%. The second was less unfair, but it's just a boss hard counters one of the core mechanics but that means it's a bad mechanic."

This game should be an easy 5 but it so blatantly disrespects your time with the insane grind and asinine RNG of their 'endless' mode it's not worth playing if you don't have hours of spare time per 1-3 unlocks to grind, of which there are well over a hundred. They need to seriously revamp the resource gain because this is worse than the gatcha games."

Having played most roguelikes and especially interested in card games, I can honestly and wholeheartedly recommend dawncaster to beginners and veterans of the genre alike. The game features multiple classes with multiple colours of actions (sort of like mana in Magic the Gathering), hundreds of cards and nearly endless combos and replayability! Seriously, just buy and start playing this gem, it's THAT good!"
